Steve Wetterhan will be our guest speaker on Sunday morning, June 21, at our 10:00 a.m. Worship Service as part of our 85th Church Anniversary Celebration. Steve served as as Associate Minister with the Spring Hill Church of Christ from 1979 to 1986. He concentrated primarily in youth ministry managing the transition from the church building on Verity Parkway to the Spring Hill Campus. He was ordained by the Elders of Spring Hill in 1981. He also performed as a member of the Spring Hill Men’s Quartet during his tenure with the church. He continued to serve the local church for 31 years with lengthy ministries in Lebanon, Ohio; West Lafayette, Indiana; and Wilmington, Ohio. Since 2011 he has been working as a board certified chaplain with Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.
Steve is a native of Spring Lake, a small town in Northern Kentucky, five miles south of Covington. He and his wife, Rita, reside in Wilmington, Ohio. They have two grown children: Adam and Libby. Adam and his wife, Alice, live in Columbus, Ohio and Libby makes her home in Orlando, Florida.
Steve has excelled in oral and written communication, higher education, philosophy, group dynamics, pastoral counseling, Biblical studies, leadership, musical performance, and seminar development. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministries from the Cincinnati Christian University (1980) and a Master of Divinity in New Testament Studies from the Cincinnati Christian Seminary (1987). He is also a Board Certified Chaplain, Association of Professional Chaplains (2019). His personal interests include marathoning, bicycling, hiking, motorcycling, clay target shooting, and gardening.
